Dr. Tafreshi
Grant Consultant
Dr. Narges Tafreshi is a cancer biologist, translational scientist, and strategic grant consultant with more than 17 years of experience spanning academia, biotechnology, and cancer research. She holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and has led multidisciplinary research programs in immuno-oncology, gene and cell therapy, radiopharmaceutical development, and translational medicine. Throughout her career, she has helped bridge scientific innovation with funding strategy, regulatory planning, and commercialization.
Dr. Tafreshi has held scientific leadership positions in both academia and industry, including Moffitt Cancer Center and Cellinfinity Bio (a Yale spin-out). She has led programs from early target discovery through IND-enabling studies, regulatory interactions, and clinical translation, including a first-in-human Phase I clinical trial in oncology. Her expertise encompasses CAR-T cell therapy, in vivo gene delivery, cancer immunotherapy, radiopharmaceuticals, and preclinical drug development.
As a strategic grant consultant, Dr. Tafreshi partners with biotechnology companies, academic investigators, and startups to develop competitive grant applications for NIH, DoD, NSF, CPRIT, ARPA-H, and other federal and foundation funding opportunities. She has extensive experience preparing SBIR/STTR applications, R01s, U-series, program project grants, and international collaborative proposals.
Dr. Tafreshi has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, patents, regulatory documents, and successful funding applications. Her unique combination of scientific leadership, grant development expertise, and translational research experience enables her to transform complex biomedical innovations into compelling, fundable proposals that accelerate the development of new therapies and technologies.
